Lattice initial segments of the hyperdegrees

چکیده
We a¢ rm a conjecture of Sacks [1972] by showing that every countable distributive lattice is isomorphic to an initial segment of the hyperdegrees, Dh. In fact, we prove that every sublattice of any hyperarithmetic lattice (and so, in particular, every countable locally nite lattice) is isomorphic to an initial segment of Dh. Corollaries include the decidability of the two quanti er theory of Dh and the undecidability of its three quanti er theory. The key tool in the proof is a new lattice representation theorem that provides a notion of forcing for which we can prove a version of the fusion lemma in the hyperarithmetic setting and so the preservation of !CK 1 . Somewhat surprisingly, the set theoretic analog of this forcing does not preserve !1. On the other hand, we construct countable lattices that are not isomorphic to an initial segment of Dh.

متن کاملLATTICE-VALUED CATEGORIES OF LATTICE-VALUED CONVERGENCE SPACES
We study L-categories of lattice-valued convergence spaces. Suchcategories are obtained by fuzzifying" the axioms of a lattice-valued convergencespace. We give a natural example, study initial constructions andfunction spaces. Further we look into some L-subcategories. Finally we usethis approach to quantify how close certain lattice-valued convergence spacesare to being lattice-valued topologi...
متن کاملMINIMAL COVERS AND HYPERDEGREESf 1 )
Every hyperdegree at or above that of Kleene's O is the hyperjump and the supremum of two minimal hyperdegrees (Theorem 3.1). There is a nonempty ~ZX class of number-theoretic predicates each of which has minimal hyperdegree (Theorem 4.7). If V = L or a generic extension of L, then there are arbitrarily large hyperdegrees which are not minimal over any hyperdegree (Theorems 5.1, 5.2). If <?# ex...
متن کاملNumerical simulation of a three-layered radiant porous heat exchanger including lattice Boltzmann simulation of fluid flow
This paper deals with the hydrodynamic and thermal analysis of a new type of porous heat exchanger (PHE). This system operates based on energy conversion between gas enthalpy and thermal radiation. The proposed PHE has one high temperature (HT) and two heat recovery (HR1 and HR2) sections. In HT section, the enthalpy of flowing high temperature gas flow that is converted to thermal radiation em...
